Hope Carwile has over 20 years’ experience in Long Term Care, starting as a certified nurse assistant. Now an Innovations Specialist with Vivage Senior Living, she takes action and advocates through several boards and committees focusing on person directed care, innovative practices and the significant value of direct care partners, while guiding Skilled Nursing Homes with their culture change journey. A Certified Eden Associate, Eden Educator, and Green House CORE Educator, Hope explores humanistic ways to navigate modern day health care challenges.
Rebecca Hubbard changed her career path from law to eldercare while at Harvard University. She made the leap after volunteering in several Boston nursing homes. She has intentionally explored many roles - from assistant administrator to social worker - but she loves being an educator best of all because each class brings exciting possibilities for sharing growth and well-being. She is a Certified Eden Associate, Eden Educator, and Empowered Teams Guide. Outside of teaching, Rebecca gets joy from being in nature with her four children.
Lisa Kendall is an experienced social worker and gerontologist who transforms ideas about aging, Elder care, trauma, and grief by harnessing the wisdom, intuition, and creative spirit of adults, Elders, and organizations. Her passion is to cultivate growth across the lifespan and facilitate well-being for every member of the care partner team. Retired from her award-winning therapy practice, Lisa continues to advocate for person-directed care as an Educator for The Eden Alternative®, speaks widely on the impact of trauma across the lifespan, and mentors other innovative professionals.
This event is a "blended learning" experience. This means that the course involves a combination of some self-directed, pre-recorded material and live, online, group coaching sessions where participants come together at the same time to learn new content and engage in interactive discussion.
Absolutely. This makes it possible for you to make notes, as you wish, and absorb the concepts shared at your own pace.
No. Course registration is per individual. Sharing your login privileges with individuals who have not paid for the course is considered a copyright violation. Individuals who are not appropriately registered for the course are also not eligible for a Certificate of Completion or CEUs. We track each student's learning journey, so that we may better support your learning goals. On a shared account, it would be hard for an individual to keep track of their progress through the course. The system is designed to track student progress and resume course content where they left off. As such, it's impossible for the experience to be replicated for more than one individual.
Our goal is to make sure that you have the best learning experience possible. If Evolve Online Learning isn’t for you, then email us within 10 days of the date of your purchase, and we’ll offer a full refund for your course. Courses that are more than 50% complete are exempt from the refund policy. Send refund requests to theedenalternative@edenalt.org.
